A Visit to the Andy Warhol Museum

with exclusive photos by Daytrippin' Rock and Roll Tours

Pop artist, Andy Warhol, (1928-1987) had a strong link with rock and roll from designing album covers for the Rolling Stones to promoting 60's band, The Velvet Underground. The museum is located in Warhol's hometown of Pittsburgh.

These photos taken inside the museum display Warhol's fascination with celebrities.

Warhol made everyday objects into art, ranging from Campbell soup cans to Brillo soap boxes.

This silkscreen of Elvis uses a publicity shot from Elvis' movie, Flaming Star, a 1960 Western.

The museum has seven floors of exhibits featuring Andy's drawings, paintings, film and video. Every weekend, visitors can attend the "weekend factory" to learn hands on some of Warhol's artistic techiniques.
